Hraparak: Armenian authorities continue intervention in Artsakh's domestic affairs
Post-electoral developments in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) - either in the form of political coalitions or re-arrangements in the government team - would have reportedly been possible if not the Armenian authorities' intervention in the country's domestic affairs.
"Informed sources" have told the paper that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently met, and reached certain arrangements with, the three key political role-players (Arayk Harityunyan, Masis Mayilyan and Samvel Babayan), giving them his specific instructions.
His statement that radical opposition parties have won the second and third places in the country's parliament was reportedly perceived as the "future government's formula". What that statement suggests is Samvel Babayan and Vitaly Balasanyan were to take the place of the political opposition, reserving the role of a government coalition to the alliance formed by the Free Fatherland, Dashnaskutyun (ARF-D) and the Artsakh Democratic Parties.
That scenario would imply no government office for Balasanyan, according to the paper. As for Masis Mayilyan, the incumbent foreign minister, his future is thought to be contingent upon the demands and pressures of the so-called pro-Soros wing.
