Yuri Sakunts, WBU world champion of professional boxing

At the international boxing tournament held in Moscow, the Armenian boxer Yuri Sakunts, who was fighting for the title of WBU world champion in the middleweight category, became the world champion. His opponent was Urmat Amankulov from Kyrgyzstan.

In the second round, he knocked down his opponent twice, then finished the fight with a powerful and accurate blow.

After the victory, Yuri addressed the audience with a moving speech. He dedicated his victory to the dedicated soldiers of the legendary "Arabo" volunteer squad, to our Armenians living in the Diaspora, and to the people of Artsakh, emphasizing the importance of preserving national unity and caring for the homeland.

Yuri Sakunts is a two-time world champion in powerlifting, world and European boxing champion, world champion in arm wrestling and European power wrestling champion. His name is listed in the Guinness Book of Records with eight exceptional achievements.
