The United States welcomes the announcement on lifting bilateral trade restrictions between Armenia and Turkey, the U.S. Embassy in Armenia said in a statement.

“This step demonstrates the commitment of both countries to expanding economic ties and promoting lasting peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus region. The ongoing efforts of Armenia and Turkey to strengthen cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the region deserve praise.”
