Armenia is not planning to leave the EAEU. Pashinyan

During a campaign event in Abovyan, Nikol Pashinyan stated that he is a member of two supreme bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and will do everything to prevent Lukashenko from using the EAEU against Armenia. He also said that “those making such statements are digging the grave of the EAEU.”

He noted that after June 7, he “will return as prime minister” and will resolve all issues existing within the EAEU.

“Lukashenko used to say that no one needs Armenia. Now that same person is desperately trying to claim that Armenia is heading toward the EU, and has activated his agent so that Armenia can be chained the way it had been chained since 2018. Armenia is not only not planning to leave the EAEU, but I am the only EAEU official who is simultaneously a member of two supreme governing bodies. I intend to use those levers, and I will use them.

Those making such empty statements do not understand that they are digging the grave of the EAEU. After the elections, I will return, and the deputy prime minister will participate in the EAEU session. Armenia will not remain dependent on ‘one ally’ or ‘one gas pipeline,’” he said.
