Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Germany exchange views on deepening Armenia–EU strategic partnership

On June 15, in Luxembourg, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The German Foreign Minister congratulated Ararat Mirzoyan on the successful democratic elections held in Armenia and reaffirmed Germany’s support for Armenia’s democratic development and its path toward European integration.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia–Germany bilateral partnership. Both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts to implement the provisions of the Declaration on the Strategic Agenda for Bilateral Partnership, signed in December of last year.

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Germany also exchanged views on issues related to deepening the strategic partnership between Armenia and the European Union.

Regional developments were also discussed during the meeting. Minister Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s vision regarding the process of normalizing relations with its neighbors.
