The new owner of the Teghut copper-molybdenum mine is a U.S. company headed by Konstantin Sokolov, who was recently appointed by the U.S. Department of State as the head of the TRIPP+ trade foundation, also referred to as the "Trump Route," which passes through Armenia. This was reported by Azatutyun.

"Several months ago, Azatutyun reported that Sokolov was interested in acquiring the mine, which had come under the ownership of Russia's VTB Bank in exchange for unpaid loan obligations. In effect, after the Amulsar gold mine, this is currently the second major Western investment in Armenia's mining sector.

Documents from the Electronic Register of Legal Entities show that the new shareholder of Kuprar RA, the company operating the Teghut mine, is Dynamic Frontier Holdings. The company is not registered in Armenia and, according to publicly available sources, was established in August 2025 in the U.S. state of Texas.

According to documents obtained by Azatutyun from the Texas tax registry, the company is managed by Konstantin Sokolov, who is registered in Florida."
