Deepening cooperation with the EAEU remains a priority for Armenia. Pashinyan

For Armenia, deepening cooperation with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) remains one of its key foreign policy and economic priorities. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Kyrgyzstan.

"Yerevan supports the principles on which the EAEU is founded. This approach will also be reflected in the program of the new government," he added.

"One of the organization's fundamental principles is the free movement of goods, services, and labor. Unfortunately, these principles are not being fully implemented in practice. Certain restrictions and administrative measures continue to hinder the full functioning of the common market, reducing the predictability of the business environment and the effectiveness of integration processes," Pashinyan said.

It should be recalled that the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is being held in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Since the EAEU began its operations, this is the 47th meeting and the second one held this year. The previous meeting took place on March 26–27 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan.
