Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, delivered opening remarks at the launch of a workshop for the leadership of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads of Armenia’s diplomatic missions abroad, held in Gyumri.

Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that this year’s workshop is distinctive for two reasons. First, it is being held following the parliamentary elections in Armenia and amid new realities. In this context, Ararat Mirzoyan underscored the continuity of Armenia’s foreign policy in the consistent formation of a peaceful and cooperative environment around Armenia, the further institutionalization of peace, and the development of partnerships.

Addressing the second distinctive feature, the RA Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of promoting international trade relations within the partnership agenda, which is in line with the Ministry’s new functions.

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan and Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan delivered messages at the meeting.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan also delivered an address as part of the workshop.

The Prime Minister addressed the foreign policy priorities reflected in the Government Programme of the Republic of Armenia and the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Armenia’s diplomatic missions abroad in implementing them.
