Armenian church observes St Sargis Day on Jan. 30

The Armenian Apostolic Church tomorrow is celebrating the St Sargis Day, a church holiday dedicated to the 4th century warrior, his son, Martiiiros, and 14 soldiers. 

The day is traditionally observed on the last January of each year. Under the blessing of Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, it has been declared a day of blessing the youth

According to a press release by the Holy See of St Echmiadzin, all the churches of Armenia will serve holy mass on Saturday and offer a special ceremony to bless young people.
