Eurovision 2015: Armenia’s fourth participants from Japan

Armenia’s fourth participant in the Eurovision 2015 song contest is from Japan, reports the Public Television’s press service.

Stefanie Topalian will represent the Asian continent in the band Geneology which aims to bring together ethnic Armenian singers from all the continents around the globe.

The first three named participants are Esai Altunian from France, Tamar Kaprelian from the United States and Vahe Tilbian from Africa․

This year’s contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, from May 19 to 23. It will feature 40 participants who will unite under the slogan “Building Bridges”.

Topalian, who is from California (US) by birth, now resides in Tokyo. A singer, composer and actress, she has been attracted to music since her teens. The graduate of the Gakuin University’s Department of Law says she now feels that song is her innermost dream to which she is ready to devote her life. 

Though Stefannie has lived far from Armenia, Stefannie says she is strongly attached to her roots, especially her grandmother, from whom she has heard a lot about the Armenian nation and culture.
