Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute is ready to hold exhibition in Turkey – Hayk Demoyan

The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute is ready to hold an exhibition in Turkey provided the safety of the exhibits is guaranteed, Director of the museum-institute Hayk Demoyan told reporters on Monday.

Representatives of Turkish academic circles negotiated with the museum-institute last year.

“Negotiations for organization of two exhibitions in Istanbul began. I can say that we are ready when we learn there is an exhibition hall that will guarantee the safety of the exhibition. We are willing to display the exhibits,” Mr Demoyan said.

Specifically, two exhibitions are in question: “Armenian sporting life in the Ottoman Empire” and “The Armenian military in the Ottoman Empire: service and annihilation.”
