Lilit Margaryan, one of Armenian fashion-setters, plans to present her collection ‘Gallery 100’ on April 7.

The event will take place with the sponsorship of Armenia’s First Lady Rita Sargsyan. Armenia’s Ministry of Diaspora has supported the event.

The basis of the collection is the Armenian woman’s image and development of her style, with numerous historical and territorial factors considered. The designer perfects the woman-survivors of the Armenian Genocide, who not only preserved high moral values, but also educated a generation of great artists.

Dresses constitute major part of the collection. They are the result of inspiration by Armenian painters of the 20th century.

The hit of the fashion show will be pomegranate-like accessories that will adorn the collection.

The basis of Ms Margaryan’s collection is engravings by Saryan, Hakobyan, Kalents, Garzu and other great artists. Geometrical design and monochromes, nonconformism, minimalism and eclecticism – the collection can be considered an ultra-style one. This is a demand by the world catwalks. Futuristic outlines are in perfect harmony with traditional Armenian collars, with shades of national history.

Stylist Sedrak Ghambaryan will arrange the models’ haircuts, with make-up to be arranged by Make-Up Atelier headed by Madlen Khachatryan.

The fashion show, which has been organized to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, will take place at the great hall of the Meridian Expo Centre.
