‘100 Armenian melodies’ CD series released
Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Culture Artur Poghosyan, who participated in the presentation of the “100 Armenian melodies” CD series, said that each of the CDs contains a particular genre.
“The program has been implemented under the auspices of Armenia’s premier and reflects a cultural policy because preservation and dissemination of Armenian cultural heritage has been our priority over recent years,” he said.
Contemporary art has been on the agenda as well over recent years.
Mr Poghosyan welcomes the digitization of musical compositions, masterpieces of art and movies.
“This is the next stage of our next program as this year’s symbol. This process will continue.”
Chairman of the Composers’ Union of Armenia Aram Satyan wants the authors of compositions to be informed of the CD release.
“I welcome the initiative and hope that the number of CDs, eight, will rise to 18. And this is our people’s achievement,” Mr Satyan said.
Musician Vahagn Hayrapetyan pointed out high-quality work and design.
“This all has great future. It can be presented not only to the Armenian Diaspora, but also to the entire world. This is our history and it can be disseminated throughout the world.”
