Gagosian Gallery, an internationally acclaimed gallery chain owned by the US-Armenian art dealer Lari Gagosian, is going to open its third exhibition hall in London later this year.

The new gallery, set to be launched in October, will be the 16th ever in the world.

Faithful to his principles, Gagosian intends to mark the gallery’s opening with an exhibition featuring canvasses and other works by Cy Twombly, a great American  painter, sculptor and photographer. He showcased the artist’s works also at the opening of his second gallery in Paris, reports the Russian website buro247.ru.

Based in Grosvenor Hill, central London, the gallery’s new branch will have a total area of 18,000 square meters. October 8 is reported to be the opening date.
