Yerevan mayor visits Marseille china museum

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan has visited an 18th century china museum in Marseilles  (Parc Borély) to get familiarized with the artifacts on display, reports the municipality’s press service.

The museum’s collection includes both china samples and items of applied art.

Introducing the museum’s rich cultural heritage, Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin said that most of them are gifts dating from the 18th century. 

He added that the cultural institution, which is under the city authorities’ care, is the main museum featuring that branch of industry (dating its history back to the 16th century).
