Annual literary festival opening in Yerevan
The annual international literary festival “Grakan Tapan” (Literary Ark) will announce its opening in Yerevan’s Lovers’ Park on Tuesday.
The idea for an open-air opening ceremony is aimed at imparting more publicity to the event, making it accessible to larger groups of the society.
Under the slogan “Word for Live”, this year’s festival will bring together 20 writers from 18
world countries (Italy, Austria, Albania, Finland, Norway, Israel, Iran, Canada, US, China, Estonia, Germany, Belgium, Jordan, the Netherland, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Romania). An honorable will be Varuzhan Voskanyan, a prominent Romanian-Armenian writer and political figure.
Among the other invitees are US-Armenian writer, novelist Chris Bohjalian, as well as Joke van Leeuwen from Denmark, Amir Or from Israel etc.
Armenian music and dances will be performed at the ceremony.
