Tigran Hamasyan joins Genocide centennial concert in Marseille
World-famous Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan joined the Yerevan National Choir at the Abbey of St Victor, Marseille on Thursday for a commemoration concert dedicated to the Armenian Genocide centennial.
The cultural event, which was part of the pilgrimage concert tour Luys i Luso, attracted an audience of over 600, including public and cultural figures, Armenian and French music fans and representatives of the media, reports the Foreign Ministry’s press service.
The concert program included pieces from the Armenian spiritual music with jazz improvisations by Hamasyan.
