Armenian theatrical critic Levon Mutafyan dies

Prominent Armenian theatrical critical Levon Mutafyan was found dead in Yerevan’s Zakyan street on Wednesday, Tert.am has learned from the Police.

The police source speaking to our correspondent said a probe has been launched to clarify the circumstances.

Speaking to Tert.am, Mutafyan’s daughter, Anahit (who is an actress), said her father had died all of a sudden. But she did not give further details. 

“He left home early in the morning, as he was to have a meeting with someone. We called him later but he wouldn’t reply; then [his number] became unreachable, and we jumped into a panic. Journalists later called us to say that he had died,” she said, adding that Mutafyan had not had any health complaints.
