Rumors have long swirled that “Princess Diaries 3” is in the works and director Garry Marshall not only confirmed the news on Monday but dished Anne Hathaway is on board to reprise her role, according to People magazine.

"I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan," Marshall told the magazine.

Still, fans are in for a long wait until the 33-year-old actress comes back to her royal throne in Genovia.

“Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we're going to do it,” the 81-year-old director explained.

Even more reason to rejoice for fans is Marshall said he would be onboard with actor Chris Pine returning.

The “Star Trek” actor starred in the second installment — which came out in 2004 — as a love interest for Hathaway’s character.

“Maybe,” Marshall said when asked, though he pointed out “he’s quite big now.”

Pine has also teased he would be open to returning to the film.

A fan recently asked if he “prays every night for Princess Diaries 3.”

“Have you been reading my diary?” he responded.

Despite long running speculations, Disney has yet to confirm a third installment.

The original movie and its sequel were based on Meg Cabot's book "The Princess Diaries" and followed young and dorky Mia transform into a princess.

Any plans for a movie will have to wait until Hathaway gives birth.
