Armenia’s EURIMAGE membership to promote cinema production
Armenia became a full member of the EURIMAGES European Cinema Support Fund, Council of Europe (CE), this January, Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Culture Artur Poghosyan told reporters on Wednesday.
Armenia’s membership is promising in terms of cinema production development.
The 10-year-long negotiations and Armenia’s achievements have allowed the country to become a full EURIMAGES member.
Mr Poghosyan noted that movie producers should bring their programs to conformity with the EURIMAGES criteria. Armenia’s membership fee is AMD 63 million (about €117,000), a small amount as compared with other member’s fees.
“And Armenia will benefit from this cooperation,” the official said.
