Dagger II, aka "Dog Vinci," is a black Labrador retriever. He is also an incredible artist.

A 3-year-old Long Island black Lab-golden retriever mix was once on track to become a canine companion, but after flunking the training program for insecurities, he found a home with a professional artist.

Dagger II, aka Dog Vinci, was adopted and trained by his human mom, Yvonne Dagger.

Dagger herself is an artist in her life and she realized he "had a way with the canvas" after, she says, he saw her painting one day, Carbonated.tv reports.

"Very often Dagger II would come into my studio and lay next to me when I painted," Yvonnesaid.

"Then one day, Dagger II began nudging me. I stopped painting and said, 'Dagger, do you want to paint'? His tail immediately started to wag like crazy."

Dagger paints by following Yvonne's commands, who simply assists him by helping him choose colors of non-toxic paint.

Yvonne Dagger's Dog, also known as DogVinci, paints portraits with his teeth.
