Yerevan to host second intn’l guitar festival

The second Yerevan International Guitar Festival will be held from June 28 until July 1, bringing together prominent musicians from different world countries.

The organizers promise an interesting event, introducing the attendees to the modern international classical guitar school and offering them an exceptional opportunity to enjoy wonderful music.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Zhora Sargsyan, the president of the Yerevan Guitarists’ Association, said they this year invited Hubert Käppel, a world-famous German classical guitarist, to conduct master classes.

The second day of the festival will feature Dmitry Murin, a guitar musician from Russia. A concert by David Dyakov from Bulgaria will conclude the cultural event.

The program includes pieces of renaissance, barocco, classical, romantic and modern music.

“We have scheduled many premiers, both Armenian and international. So the program is going to be very interesting,” Sargsyan added.
