Eagles Of Death Metal will feature in a new documentary detailing the shocking Paris terror attacks which took place at the Bataclan theatre on November 13 last year, The Metro reports.

Directed by Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks’ son), Eagles Of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends) charts events leading up to the moment gunmen stormed the venue and killed 89 people, reports Deadline.

The film includes footage of lead singer Jesse Hughes and his Californian band mates as they made an emotional return to Paris in February to finish their performance which was tragically cut short.

Nos Amis will also show the moment U2’s Bono and the Edge welcomed Hughes and the Eagles onto their Paris stage in December 2015.

As Hanks’ second doco after 2015’s All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records, he said it would also explore the relationship between Hughes and childhood friend and fellow band member Josh Homme.

‘It’s about that first step in trying to put life back together,’ he told Deadline.

Produced by Live Nation Productions and Company Name, the programme will air on HBO and feature original music from Queens Of The Stone Age collaborator Alain Johannes.

Hughes has previously apologised for ‘baseless’ suggestions that members of the Bataclan’s security staff were aware of the impending attacks.
