Armenian co-author of monument to deceased Russian pop singer
A Russian-Armenian artist is a co-author of a monument to late Russian pop singer Jeanna Friske.
Levon Manukyan collaborated with Ivan Volkov to melt the sculpture erected recently in the Moscow cemetery (where the singer is buried), Kp.ru reports.
Friske’s family commissioned the artists to create the 170cm monument, which was reportedly transformed several times.
The singer’s parents and sister attended the ceremony of unveiling the sculpture.
Friske, 40, died in June 2015 after battling brain cancer.
