World’s first ice library launched in Russia’s Baykalsk
The first ice library in the world was launched on a coast of lake Baikal, in the city of Baikalsk, Saturday.
It consists of 420 “books” – walls with etchings of more than 1,000 short phrases forming a labyrinth, Euronews reports.
People from all over the world sent their wishes to be etched onto the walls.
The wishes are in various languages including English, Chinese, Korean and Russian.
The library on Baikal is expected to stand until April, and then it’s going to melt.
