The National Library of Catalonia has hosted the screening of French-Armenian director Robert Guédiguian’s movie on the Armenian Genocide.

After the closed-door event, “One Crazy Story” will go on screen in different cities and towns across Spain. “Neither scientists nor art critics can provide a rational interpretation of genocides,” Guédiguian’s said after the event.

The movie is based upon Spanish journalist José Antonio Gurriarán’s book "The Bomb".  The public screening will start on March 24.

“Gurriarán has presented a powerful novel relying on historical realities. But I didn’t originally intend to present just one story; all I wished was to break the 100-year silence,” said the director.

One Crazy Story tells about the revengeful acts of ASALA (Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia ) and a journalist who was incidentally injured after joining the group.
