Adele dedicates song to fan who had heart attack during her show (video)
Adele dedicated a song to the woman who had a heart attack during her concert on Friday night, revealing she was “really scared” when it happened, the Daily Mail reports.
Video has emerged of the moment a 47-year-old woman was wheeled out of the ANZ Stadium on a stretcher after suffering a cardiac arrest mid-way through the show.
The British singer stopped to wish the woman a speedy recovery at the same point in her set on Saturday night before dedicating “Take It All” to her.
“At this point in the show last night, there was a lady, she got really ill down there and I sang this song and with my back to what was going on,” Adele told the packed stadium.
“I knew what was going on but I was really scared and it was at this point I stopped the show to check if she was okay.
“I don't know if she's okay yet but I'd like to sing this song for her tonight.”
To the woman, she added: “I wish you a speedy recovery. I look forward to finding out who you are, I don't know who she is yet and I'll be speaking to you soon, I hope.”
Adele had stopped her show in the middle of a song on Friday night, tearfully telling the 95,000-strong crowd that “someone got hurt”.
The 47-year-old woman suffered a cardiac arrest and was attended to by paramedics, an NSW Ambulance spokesperson told Nine News.
