Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has paid a touching tribute to 'my second dad,' Sib Hashian, the drummer for the rock group Boston, who has died at the age of 67, the Daily Mail reports.
The rocker is also the father of Dwayne's long-time girlfriend, Lauren Hashian.
Sib was on the Legends Of Rock Cruise that left Florida on March 18 and was mid-set when he collapsed on Wednesday night, his son Adam told TMZ.
A witness says CPR was performed and a defibrillator was used but to no avail.
Sib is a grandfather to Dwayne and Lauren's 15-month-old daughter Jasmine.
Dwayne reportedly left the Las Vegas set of HBO's The Ballers to jet to be by Laura's side immediately he learned the news.
And on Thursday he posted a long and touching tribute to Sib on Instagram with a family photo.
“Rest In Peace & Love to my second dad Sib Hashian,” he wrote. “Don't know why things have to happen the way they do sometimes. When loved ones leave us so suddenly without having a chance to say goodbye.
“Perhaps the lesson here is the reminder to live our lives as full and as present as we possibly can, because we just never know what's around the corner.
“What a full and exciting life this man lived. What an amazing family he created, loved, watched over and protected.
