Armenian photographer's bust unveiled in Ottawa
A bust to Yusuf Karsh, a Canadian Armenian photographer, was unveiled in capital Ottawa on Friday.
The ceremony, attended by Armenian Ambassador Armen Yeganyan, was held in the Conferderation Square in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Canadian-Armenian diplomatic relations and the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, the Horizon Weekly reports.
The bust, which is a gift by the Canadian nation to the Armenians, stands as an eternal symbol of the firm friendship between the two peoples. The ceremony was followed by an official reception attended by Canadian legislators, President of the Canadian Senate George Furey and Canadian-Armenian sculptor Mkrtich Taragchean (who created the monument).
