Russian-Armenian film director Karen Shahnazarov celebrating 65th birthday

Russian-Armenian film director Karen Shahnazarov is celebrating his  65th birthday anniversary on Saturday.

On the remarkable occasion, he has received greetings from Prime Minsiter Dmitry Medvedev who highly appreciated his talent, and contribution to the Russian cinema industries, Life.ru reports.

“You combine the starkly outlined talent of a director and leader, which helps to head [Russia’s biggest film studio] Mosfilm. Thanks to your efforts, it is now among Russia’s biggest creative film industries,” reads the official address.

Earlier, Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan issued his congratulations to the prominent director.
