Armenian Movie Week opens in Iran

The Iranian Artists' House on Sunday announced the opening of the Armenian Movie Week in an official ceremony attended by Armenian Ambassador Artashes Tumanyan, representatives of the diplomatic corps, film directors and a number of other guests.

According to a press release by Foreign Ministry, the organizers presented several films to be screened in Mahhad and Shiraz between July 23 and 29.

In his greeting speech, Ambassador Tumanyan briefed the participants on the joint history of Iranian-Armenian movie production, and the close cultural ties.

After opening remarks, Aram Shahbazyan's Moskvich My Love was screened for the participants. A professional discussion on the joint cinema art history and future cooperation followed.
