“Renaissance” Foundation organized an event dedicated to well-known Armenian-American writer William Saroyan
On May 18, with the support of the “Renaissance” Cultural and Intellectual Foundation, an event, which was dedicated to well-known Armenian-American writer, took place at school number 138 after William Saroyan, which was organized by the school's teaching staff leaded by Director Luiza Hovhannisyan.
Within the framework of “Saroyan House” project, the foundation has donated to the school, the exclusive series of photos representing W. Saroyan by famous Armenian photographer Boghos Boghossian, hoping that the works of honored photographer will find their worthy place at school and will be appreciated by the coming generations.
The ceremony began with the march of students, who paid tribute to the writer, then various Saroyan discovering performances was organized inside the school. The talented pupils and parents of the school showed great interest in presenting their handmade works (posters, embroidery, gobelin samples) that presented the writer's image, his thoughts, and the Saroyanesque atmosphere.
