Genocide denial book presentation banned in Moscow
The presentation Edward J Ericson’s book denying the true history of the Armenian Genocide has been banned in Moscow.
The event was scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 31, according to Rusarminfo.ru.
APA News Agency reports that the presentation was cancelled “under the Armenian community’s strong pressure”.
The bookstore chain House of Books has refrained from publishing any details on the possible reasons. The presentation announcement was deleted from their official website.
The book, entitled Ottomans and Armenians: A Study in Counterinsurgency, tells about the late 19th and early 20th century resistance struggles between the Turkish authorities and Armenian rebels.
