Armenian-Russian friendship monument erected in Russian town

A statue dedicated to the Russian-Armenian friendship has been erected in town of Nakhodka, Primrosky Krai, to eternalize the historically developing relations between the two countries and peoples.

The 2.5m x3m sculpture, featuring the handshake of Russian and Armenian men, was melted of granite. The authors of the project have also laid the foundations of an Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) in the city's Friendship Square which is home to the monument.

The project was sponsored by the local Armenian community.
