Istanbul-Armenian director Aram Gulyuz dies at 87

Aram Gulyuz, a Turkish-Armenian director who produced over 200 feature movies, has died in Istanbul at age 87, Sozcu.com.tr reports.


Born in the city’s Sisli district in 1931, Gulyuz  received his education in the United Kingdom and later also in South Korea.


He is the author of Istanbul Adventure, a joint Turkish-German production.


The Turkish media outlets reporting the news of the director's demise have stopped short mentioning his Armenian origins.
