Disney has finally unearthed its diamond in the rough.

The first teaser for Aladdin gave fans the first look at Mena Massoud as the hero on Thursday night, according to the Daily Mail.

The clip opens with a sweeping view of the desert with the city of Agrabah far in the distance.

The camera follows a bird — presumably Jafar's parrot Iago — as he flies over the city as day turns to night, back out into the desert, and to the Cave of Wonders.

The Cave, a lion's head embedded in the side of a mountain, bellows: “Only one may enter.”

“One whose worth lies far within,' it continues, its voice an exact replica of his 1992 animated predecessor, “the Diamond in the Rough.”

Snapping its jaws shut, the inside of the expansive cave is then revealed, packed to roof with treasures of all kinds.

But the one everyone is after — the magic lamp — sits high atop the highest pinnacle in the center of the cave.

The final shot opens with Aladdin himself as he tentatively reaches to pick it up.

The orchestral soundtrack starts with strains of Arabian Nights, before powering into Friend Like Me.

Disney's music maestro Alan Menken, who won two of his eight Oscars for the original, is returning to score the remake as well as co-write two new songs.

While Marwan Kenzari's Jafar could be spotted in the distance, there was no sign yet of Naomi Scott as Jasmine, or Will Smith's Genie.

On Wednesday Fresh Prince star unveiled the first poster for the new film, with the caption: 'LEMME OUT!! Can’t wait for y’all to see Me BLUE!'
