Russian animators producing screen version of Saroyan’s 'The Summer of Beautiful White Horse'

А team of Russian independent movie makers are producing a cartoon based on the motives of William Saroyan's popular story "The Summer of Beautiful White Horse".

An online petition has been launched on Indiegogo to collect the necessary funds for the project.

The scenario presents a full-length movie entitled “My Heart”.

“It is a film about the wisdom of apologizing and the pain of losses. It is about the ancient fatherland, the endlessness of heaven, and the happiness of walking barefoot across the grassland to the reach the horizon,” said the authors.

The team has been working for several years to produce the cartoon which is now almost complete. To preserve the force and flavor of the story, all the conversations will be in Armenian. One of the characters will recount the scenario in Russian off-camera.
