Rihanna, Axl Rose blast Trump for using their music at political events
Rihanna and Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose separately took to Twitter on Sunday to blast President Donald Trump for using their music at political events, the Hollywood Reporters says.
Rihanna was alerted to the president's use of her song "Don't Stop the Music" by NBC News' Philip Rucker, who tweeted: "It's been said a million times, but here's a million and one — Trump's rallies are unlike anything else in politics. Currently, Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone's loving it."
Rihanna and Rose's tweets come just days after Pharrell Williams sent a cease and desist lettersent through his lawyer asking Trump to stop playing Williams' song "Happy." The move came after Trump played the song at a Midwest rally hours after the Tree of Life congregation shooting in Pittsburgh.
