Hrant Dink foundation to launch Armenian art workshop series
The Hrant Dink Foundation in Istanbul has initiated a workshop series dedicated to modern Armenian art, inviting art critics, intellectuals and scholars to deliver lectures.
The event, entitled “Modern Art in Armenia”, will start on December 7, featuring keynote speakers from Armenia, the Diaspora and Turkey.
Among the guest speakers are Angela Harutyunyan, Associate Professor of Art History and Theory at the American University of Beirut, Zaven Sargsyan, Founding director of the Sergey Parajanov Museum in Yerevan, and Ruben Malayan, an artist.
Founded shortly after the Turkish-Armenian journalist’s assassination in 2007, the Hrant Dink Foundation aims to foster a cooperation between Turkey and Armenia, promoting an intercultural dialogue.
