Eurovision 2019: Armenia stops short of qualifying for Grand Final

Armenia’s entry for the Eurovision 2019 Song Contest has stopped short of qualifying for the Grand Final.

With her song Walking Out, Srbuk was the first to perform at the second the semi-finals aired live from Tel-Aviv, Israel on Thursday night.

The ten countries selected by the professional jury and the TV viewers (on the 50/50 basis) were North Macedonia, the Netherlands, Albania, Sweden, Russia, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland and Malta.

Apart from Armenia, also the participants from Ireland, Moldova, Latvia, Romania, Austria, Croatia and Lithuania did not qualify for the final concert.

The Grand Final will air on Saturday, May 18, featuring the representatives of Belarus, Greece, Serbia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Australia, Iceland, San Marino and Slovenia, Israel (last year’s winner), Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Great Britain.

The selected slogan for this year’s annual show is Dare to Dream.
