Acting minister named chief of Yerevan opera theatre

Acting Minister of Culture Nazenie Garibyan has been elected as the head of the governing board of the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Her candidacy received the collegial body's support at a meeting on Friday.

In a separate voting, also Sergey Safaryan, a ballet artist at the opera house, was named the council's secretary, reports the Ministry of Culture.
