Sir Paul McCartney, 77, admits he didn't think he'd live past 28 as he reflects on his rock and roll heyday and confesses he doesn't own ANY Beatles albums

Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that he never thought he'd live past 28, as he recounted his heady days in The Beatles.
The music icon was speaking to The Radio Times on the fiftieth anniversary of the band's seminal Abbey Road album.
Asked what the then 27-year-old McCartney would think of his older self still talking about the album all those years after, he made the admission that he'd be happy to hear he was still alive.
'He would be loving the fact that he was still here. Like a lot of people, I think I thought I was going to die at 28. Which is nothing to do with the car number plate on the cover,' he said, alluding to conspiracy theories suggesting that the album's famous cover contained a number of clues that showed the star was actually dead, according to the Daily Mail.
According to a theory at the time, McCartney had died in an accident and been replaced.
So called 'clues' included the VW Beetle's number plate relating to his age – 28 – if he had been alive.
'To hear that I'd lasted till 77 would have been great news,' he added.
