Disney's Avengers: Endgame is currently the highest grossing movie of the year both domestically ($858.3 million) and globally ($2.796 billion), and now it's going for Oscar gold, the Daily Mail reports.

The studio has officially launched its  awards season campaign for the superhero blockbuster with an official For Your Consideration website.

The website reveals the studio is putting Avengers: Endgame in contention for awards in 12 categories, but no acting consideration, even for MCU mainstay Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

The studio will be vying for Best Picture for producer Kevin Feige, Best Director for brothers/filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo and Best Adapted Screenplay for Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

While it's possible Marvel could add other categories for its awards campaign, it seems they're forgoing any consideration for the acting categories.

Box office hit: Avengers: Endgame shattered the opening weekend box office record when debuted with $357.1 million in late April

For Your Consideration: Unlike the Avengers: Endgame website, the For Your Consideration sites for other sites doesn't reveal what specific awards each movie is up for
