A Moscow-based businessman who owns half of Armen Dzhigarkhanyan's apartment has talked about the future fate of the property belonging to the late Russian-Armenian actor.

Yuri Rastegin, who purchased his share of the apartment four years ago (to hand it over to the artist on a gratuitous  contract), has unveiled plans to turn it into a house-museum.

"He gave his consent for opening his house museum there and using his photos. It was an expression of gratitude for providing him with an apartment for life. I have the video tape featuring us sign the contract," Kp.ru quotes Rastegin as saying.

It is planned to hold cultural events (for small audiences or studio recording) and creative meetings at the museum.

The businessman has not reportedly discussed the plan with Tatyana Vlasova, a forme wife of the artist, who is considered an apartment co-owner.

Dzhigarkhanyan died in Moscow on November 14 at the age of 85.
