Eurovision 2022: Turin announces intention to bid to host song contest

The Mayor of Turin has confirmed that the city will be bidding to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Italy.

Following the victory of Italy at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest, Turin has confirmed its intentions to bid to host the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. The Mayor of Turin confirmed on Facebook that “We are already working on the candidacy, pending the announcement,” Eurovoix.com reports.

Turin has been looking to host the contest for a number of years, earlier this week Rai confirmed that in 2017 the broadcaster has worked with Turin as a potential place to host the contest, should they have won in Kyiv.

Rai will hold a bidding process to determine which city will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, details will be revealed in due time.
