The sequel to hit movie Enchanted is finally set to happen after 14 years, with Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams reprising their roles as they lead the cast.

And preparations for the new film Disenchanted were well on the way on Tuesday as the village of Enniskerry in County Wicklow, Ireland was given a magical makeover ahead of it being used as one of the filming locations for the flick, which will stream on Disney+.

The story is set ten years after the original movie, Enchanted. When Giselle (Adams) begins to question her happily ever after, she wishes her life was more like a perfect fairytale. However, her wish turns both her real life and her fantasy home of Andalasia upside down, the Daily Mail reports.

The transformation of the village and nearby Greystones saw houses being adorned with spectacular floral displays.

One grand home in particular, owned by Deirdre (Dott) Brady whose late husband was one of the top orthopaedic surgeons in Ireland, was transformed to look like a pink castle fit for a Princess.

Dot's daughter, an architect called Angela told Sunday World of the renovations: 'The whole double-storeyed turret at the front is all new, because there was a single storey extension with a little glass pyramid which I designed and put in two years ago . Disney has a great team of designers and they make it look really very real.'
