Paolo Petrocelli has been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra
Within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, cultural figure and Director of Dubai Opera Paolo Petrocelli has been awarded the Medal of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia. The award was presented to him by Minister Zhanna Andreasyan.
Petrocelli has long held a significant place in the history of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra’s international development. He has played an active role in expanding the orchestra’s international activities, building new collaborations, and strengthening its global positioning.
As an honorary board member of the orchestra, he supports strategic initiatives, while his involvement has helped shape new cultural programs and partnerships. Cooperation with Dubai Opera has enabled the orchestra to regularly perform on one of the most important cultural stages in the Middle East. With his support, the “Symphonic Jackson” project was presented for the first time outside Armenia at Dubai Opera, achieving great success.
He has also served as a jury member of the Khachaturian International Competition and continues to be actively involved in the promotion of Armenian cultural initiatives. In 2025, Petrocelli was awarded the Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for his contribution to culture and international cooperation.
A scholar, lecturer, and cultural leader, Paolo Petrocelli is today considered an important figure in international cultural diplomacy, uniting art, academia, and global collaboration through his work.
