Within the framework of the AI4Biodiversity initiative, a panel discussion titled ''AI4Biodiversity: Can Artificial Intelligence Become A Game Changer For Implementing The Global Biodiversity Framework?'' was held in the COP17 Green Zone, bringing together representatives from the scientific, technological, youth, and private sector communities.

During the discussion, the participants addressed the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence to biodiversity preservation, as well as innovative solutions for ecosystem monitoring and identifying environmental issues.

According to Elena Khachvankyan, Member of the Council of IDBank, collaboration among science, technology, and the private sector creates new opportunities in the field of biodiversity preservation.

"Protecting biodiversity is no longer just a matter of responsibility for businesses; it is a strategic necessity aimed at effective risk management, strengthening long-term business resilience, and building a sustainable future. It is essential for innovative ideas to find practical application, and our environmental projects can serve as testing platforms for them. Ultimately, our goal is not simply to create new technologies, but to achieve real, measurable, and long-term results in biodiversity preservation and restoration through them," stated Elena Khachvankyan.

Supporting the initiative is a logical continuation of IDBank and Idram’s environmental policy. It provides an opportunity to foster the application of technological innovations in environmental protection, support young specialists, and contribute to the further development of ecological projects.
