Կինոոլորտի ամենահեղինակավոր մրցանակաբաշխությունն անցկացվել է 90-րդ անգամ:

Կարևորագույն մշակութային իրադարձություն լինելուց զատ, այն նաև հրաշալի առիթ էր հոլիվուդյան աստղերի համար ևս մեկ անգամ փայլելու կարմիր գորգին և իրենց անթերի տեսքով հիացնելու երկրպագուներին:
