Հոլանդական Lightyear մեքենաշինական ընկերությունը ներկայացրել է արևային էներգիայի հիմքով աշխատող և «գործողության հեռահար շառավղով» առաջին մեքենան:

Ինչպես նշում է Daily Mail-ը, 149 000 դոլար արժողությամբ նորույթը ստացել է Lightyear One անվանումը: Այն կարող է տարեկան մոտ 20 000 կմ տարածություն անցնել՝ օգտագործելով կուտակած արևային էներգիան:

Մեքենան համալրված է 5 քմ մակերեսով արևային մարտկոցներով, որոնք տեղադրված են տանիքին և առաջնամասում: Մարտկոցի լիարժեք լիցքավորման դեպքում մեքենան կարող է 725 կմ անցնել:

Նշվում է, որ ուշագրավ նորույթի առաջին 500 օրինակի հավանական պատվիրատուները պետք է նախապես 119 000 դոլար վճարեն: Առաքումը կիրականացվի 2021թ.:

The Lightyear One was unveiled on Tuesday at theÂ TheaterHangaar in Katwijk, the Netherlands

The Lightyear One can also also be charged from an existing electric-vehicle charge point to boost the batteries. This can be done at the same time as it collects energy from the sun, which would significantly reduce charging periods but would mean the car would need to be outside

With Department for Transport calculating that the average motorist covers 7,134 miles annually, it means Britons could drive all-year-round for free â granted the sun comes out for long enough to charge the Oneâs battery
